UPDATE: He took it down. We found an edit.
Originally, this track was on a time-constrained release of 24 hrs. It blew up. As the illest rendition of the Super Mario Bros. theme, we burned a whole through the mp3. Although David Heartbreak categorized this as a “rough mix,” I can’t imagine what the finished product will be. Tying in the sound effects of the original video game series with the triple hi-hat of a simple trap beat, the synergy created is an avenue to millions of 80′s and 90′s childhoods. Unfortunately, the late 90′s babies may not be as excited about this release. (They just don’t know any better.) Regardless of experience with the 8-bit cartridge gaming system, the coin bounces, the underground theme, and the tube sound effects culminate in a fantastic tune to stimulate the inner child and the swerve rager in us all. The people have spoken. (Thanks for not taking it down.) For a rough mix, this is an absolute delight that should be recorded in the annals of creativity.
