In the world of dance music, each track warrants a physical and verbal response in the listener. There are the dirty tracks that make you go “damn.” Then, there’s the tracks that make you jump up and down, screaming gleeful nonsense, and then, there are tracks like these. This collaborative effort from Kai Wachi and Squnto twists and knots your brain until it’s so malleable that it melts. The build is a quandary that does not prepare you for the grimey filth of the drop. To classify this track as trap or dubstep would be too simplistic and almost demeaning. This track has all the mental gymnastics of a “very hard” sudoku puzzle with the soul of the purist dance anthem. If you get blasted with fog on this one, it won’t elevate you to a higher astral plane, but it’ll serve as a reprieve from the combined heat and sweat of you and your slam piece. Romance be damned, this track is acoustic bliss.
