Monster Of The Week: G Jones

He takes you from the streets, and drops you into the final stage of Super Mario NES… on a beautifully spooky mushroom trip. It’s great. And G Jones just made his BASSMONSTER debut as Monster Of The Week. Are you not sold yet?
Greg Jones, better known as G Jones (see what he did there?), is doing his part to push the future sound of electronic music. His style is a unique combination of dreamy, trippy, and purple trap sounds, collectively creating future bass music. The sounds are as surreal as anything in your imagination, yet as raw as diamonds. His street cred runs deep with Crew Camp Questionmark, and he has gained the support of some of our favorite producers – Minnesota, Zeds Dead, UZ, and Bassnectar, just to name a few. One week ago he released “Ring The Alarm” into the wild, as the first banger from his new Ring The Alarm EP. I kind of see it as his way of saying ‘roll out the red carpet,’ or f*ck it – roll up the grass. “Ring The Alarm” is a heavy-hitting horn anthem that brings the hype. The bubbly toms and killer snare work is already guaranteed to shake some dust up. Actually, the entire EP is some serious crunkwave… nine original tracks, including collaborations with Minnesota, Doshy, and Mad Zach.

Down below I’ve added the Free Download link, a couple tracks from the new EP, a couple of my personal G Jones favorites, and a legendary live mix at Low End Theory LA. Much love to G Jones and the crew at Saturate Records. Keep crushing.
