Through the cracks of time, this song seeps out on the floor in pools of dark blue liquid electro house. As the pool expands in circumference, the light shimmers off it, reflecting the various levels of bass in layers of rich, vibrant brightness. Like a radiant smile, it’s momentary existence is pure and awesome, and nothing will prepare you for this drop. Using the iconic “Beam Me Up” vocal stall, the weight of this drop is staggering. It courses through you like snake venom, but safer.
We heard this track at Ultra, and lost our ****. The crowd was absolutely hypnotized by wizards known as Cazzette. The place went bonkers right as the sun went down, and someway/somehow, the Bassmonsterboyz managed to capture video footage [see below]. If you haven’t experienced the Swedish duo that wear giant helmets of cassette tapes, then you have clearly been living out a Bruce Willis in TheSixth Sense-type situation, a.k.a. you’ve been dead. Well, get some life in your lungs and hear what the electronic age does to mainstream pop culture. (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the original from Baauer, but this is too good.) Watch as the crowd goes nuts at #ULTRA13. Squad, this is Cazzette.
AND THIS IS CAZZETTE, LIVE AT ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013.
Recorded by our very own BASSMONSTERBOYZ, check out the video below:
That looks fun, right?
BONUS: Tim Berg – Alcoholic (Cazzette’s Trapleg Mix)
[Editor's note: Whether you want to forget or appreciate what today is, we've got some straight fire that'll make THAT whole process easier on you. ♥] One of the greatest aspects of EDM is that every now and then a song comes along that elevates you to a surreal, dream-state. It’s fantasy coated in reality wrapped around improbability. It’s better than chocolate, flowers, or sex [sometimes]. Probably the closest thing to heaven on Earth, which is why it’s become so immensely popular and widely advocated. This remix is one of those few tracks that does more than repackage or reinvent. It circumvents the physical. Vicetone, the genuis collective out of the Netherlands, turns Cazzette‘s monster hit, “Weapon,” into an anthem…better yet, it’s the mustache created by the foam of a frothy beverage. Whimsical. Light. It inspires laughter, smiles, and happiness, and we couldn’t be more excited to spread the pixie dust. Honestly, we’d hug all of you while you listened to this track…if we could. Also, check out their remix of Hook N Sling‘s “Reason.” Stay tuned…
